YOU ARE AT INCREASED RISK OF A SEXUAL ASSAULT IF THE MAN YOU ARE WITH:
Anger Related
- Is verbally abusive or threatening (direct or veiled threats)
- Feels angry
- Displays explosive anger/rage without or disproportionate to provocation
- Is intimidating with others
- Can’t remain calm when given instruction or criticism
- Argues frequently
- Does mean, hurtful or illegal behaviors
- Desires to hurt/harm someone
Violence Talk
- Talks about previous incidents of violence
- Has past history of violence (abuse, brawling)
- Is preoccupied with and/or comments about weapons and/or crimes
- Has peers that endorse violence
- Is unable to calm himself when upset or angry
- Is unable to resolve conflicts with others
- Is unable to express his feelings without hurting others
- Expresses a desire to physically hurt others or damage property
Strange Thinking
- Expresses false or odd beliefs
- Hears voices
- Is suicidal
- Is paranoid
- Has a sense of entitlement and/or is boastful
- Has frequent, vague physical complaints
- Has poor insight (relentless optimism vs. unrealistic expectations)
- Distrusts others
Social Style
- Is impulsive and/or has poor judgment
- Displays superficial charm
- Is conning and manipulative
- Displays grandiose sense of self-worth
- Displays pathological lying
- Is callous and/or lacks empathy
- Disrupts others or behaves socially inappropriately
- Has problems cooperating with others
- Lacks remorse or guilt
